Micheline has had many lives—music composer, magazine editor, and now goldsmith.
When writing symphonies no longer distracted her from the call of design and the joy of working with her hands, she plunged into the jewelry design program at George Brown College.
Her jewellery is rooted in the craft tradition using precious metals and is based on two design principles: clean lines and a pop of colour–even when that colour is black! The simple forms I design are accented with colourful gems or powder coating pigments.
Micheline’s individual expression has always been at the center of who she is and now it is her mission through her brand, atelier J fine jewelry, to help others express themselves!

Pine Pollen on the Lake
Raised in Toronto, Ontario Canada and having a family cottage in Muskoka gives me the opportunity to experience a wide range of topography, from the Niagara Escarpment to the beauty of the Canadian Shield throughout the Muskoka Region.
A self taught artist I became seriously interested in visual art through various forms including Watercolour Painting/Pen & Ink Drawing.
Muskoka is my inspiration for my artwork. I love Watercolour for the immediacy and fluidity it involves, but Pen & Ink allows me to indulge in drawing with the attention to detail that I have always loved to do.
I am an active member of Visual Arts Mississauga & Artist Network Toronto. I participate in many art shows in Toronto & the Muskoka Region.

Barbara Reade
Fine Artist
Barbara Reade lives and paints close to the shoreline of Lake Ontario in Burlington. As an abstract artist, Barbara paints what she feels, not what she sees. Every painting is built up of several layers, which become gradually more refined as the piece evolves. Collage is often integrated, along with acrylic paint, graphite and wax pastel. A signature touch of Barbara’s is the application of a hand-buffed cold wax finish that gives her pieces a beautiful satin patina. Barbara’s artwork makes a bold, truly one-of-a-kind statement in any setting.
