Sweet Marie Bars

From the Studio of Deborah Doran

1 ½ cups peanut butter
½ cup corn syrup
½ tsp salt
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Put all ingredients in the top of a double boiler until melted. Remove from stove.

2 cups rice crispies
½ cup walnuts
1 cup desiccated coconut

Add to previous mixture and press into a buttered 9 x 13 inch pan.

While still warm, cover with homemade or purchased chocolate butter icing.
